Great surgeon

I went to Dr Jamie Heimroth for pain in my right knee. Gave me injections and said you will eventually need a knee replacement. I had left knee done back in 2004 by a different surgeon. Dr Jamie said the procedure now is much different than years ok. Promised me I wiould be up and walking by time my trip to Colorado in 6 weeks. Had the replacement done was up and walking around that day. Was released from hospital next morning. Went to therapy for a few months at Olin and cohen in Woodbury and was ready for my trip. Dr Jamie was spot on and was a very compassionate dr congratulations to dr Jamie Heimroth and his team. He was right better than 20 years ago.

Fib and tib surgery

I had the misfortune of breaking my leg the second day of my vacation. Flew home 5 days early and got an appointment with Dr. Heimroth. I couldn’t have been more blessed. He truly was the bright spot in my time of distress. He said I needed surgery and explained exactly what was going to be done. Of course I was upset and scared. Dr. Heimroth definitely eased my anxiety. He is compassionate, understanding and truly caring. No matter how many questions I asked, all were answered in a calming and kindhearted manner. The surgery was a great success! He said I would be weight bearing immediately after the surgery which was so beneficial in my recovery. Four months after my surgery, I am thrilled to report my bones are healed and I’m walking on my own. No walker - no cane. I highly and wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Heimroth. He literally got me back on my feet and I can’t thank him enough for all he did. He is the best!

Total Knee Replacement

After years of knee pain, I finally had a total knee replacement on February 10, 2026 with Dr. Heimroth—and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care I received. Going into surgery, I expected severe pain, so I was incredibly surprised that within just a couple of days, it was already manageable. Dr. Heimroth did an outstanding job. He truly listened to my concerns, answered every question, and even took the time to personally call me himself. That simple gesture made me feel genuinely cared for and never just like another patient. Two weeks later, I began outpatient physical therapy, where I had the pleasure of working with Eileen Duswalt-Agostino, Richard Viskewich, and their wonderful support staff. From the very beginning, Eileen and Rich were encouraging, knowledgeable, and fully invested in my recovery. The exercises they tailored for me helped me steadily rebuild strength and confidence. I attended PT three times a week at first, then twice weekly toward the end—and the progress has been incredible. Today, I have my full range of motion back, and feeling is gradually returning. While recovery is still a journey, the chronic pain I lived with for so long is gone, and my knee continues to get stronger every day. I’m so thankful to Dr. Heimroth, Eileen, Rich, and the entire team at Bohemia PT for their exceptional care and support throughout this process.
